The second episode of our Landlord Law TV series of programs is now live.
In this episode we start off with a Tessa and Ben on chairs discussion where we are considering the Edwards v. Kumarasamy case in the context of real life situations.
Note that we have now heard that the landlord in this case has been given leave to appeal to the Supreme Court – however this will inevitably be some time off so the Court of Appeal decision will remain good law for some time to come.
The second part of the program is a fairly long but fascinating interview with Rajeev Nayyar who founded the Fixflo online repairs reporting service.
Rajeev tells us a bit about himself, how the Fixflo service came about, and how the new section 21 ‘anti retaliatory eviction’ rules are going to change things for landlords.
This is a fascinating interview and everyone in property should tune in to listen to Rajeevs thoughful comments.
NB The Infographic referred to in the interview is here.
The next episode is planned for two weeks time when we are hoping to do a special program focusing on the new section 21 rules due to come into force on 1 October.
