Although I am probably known mainly as a landlord lawyer, I do also enjoy advising tenants.
Most work comes from landlords (and one has to earn a living) butI try to provide resources and services for tenants too when I can.
So a few years ago I set up the Tenant Law website along with a 12 part free E Course for tenants, similar to the E Course I have for landlords, but dealing primarily with tenants concerns.
Over the Christmas period I quite enjoy taking on ‘webby’ projects and so after doing the site upgrade for Landlord Law Blog, I decided that the Tenant Law site could do with a bit of refreshing.
So it is now looking rather splendid with a new theme (from StudioPress – the Genesis child theme Executive Pro).
What’s on the Tenant Law site
The free E-Course is still there, and is regularly updated to take account of law changes.
There is also a telephone advice service for tenants – cost £84 (with either me or one of the solicitors from Anthony Gold as appropriate). To apply you need to complete the form, pay the fee and then I will arrange a time for the call to take place.
Finally, after doing the theme upgrade I decided to add some new content. This is on the main ten legal rights that tenants have.
The list is based on a book I wrote for tenants in 2007 (still out there but now a bit out of date) and is based on the rights tenants actually have in law rather than what they would want to have.
The Tenant Law site is here.
