Government Guidance for Landlords and Tenants during the coronavirus emergency

March 28, 2020 by Tessa Shepperson

CoronavirusThe Government has now published fairly comprehensive guidance for landlords and tenants during this coronavirus emergency.

All landlords and tenants should read it carefully.  It includes many links to where you can find additional information and so is most helpful.

>> You will find the Guidance linked from here

The guidance sometimes makes references to the different rules which apply to tenancies and licences.  If you are confused about this issue – we have the following posts and resources which may help:

  • Our mini-course on the difference between a license and a tenancy
  • Our separate Lodger Landlord website with guidance on lodger situations
  • Blog post: Renting property on a license
  • Blog post: Five points on residential licenses
  • Blog post: Tenancy Agreements 33 days of Tips Day 3 – Tenancy or License?
